Newsflash - A Plea for Food

On Sunday 26th of October an email was received from Sr Kathy McCarty detailing how the food crisis was affecting the hospital -both patients and staff. We have been building the funds for the Washing Machine Project and were only about £3000 away from our target of £8000. The trustees, however, decided to spend some of the money not specifically donated for the Washing Machine Project, on basic foods- beans, sugar and oil. We have ordered the food through a website www.sadza.com which Kathy has advised us is reliable. If you would like to make a contribution to feeding the people of Chidamoyo, instead of overindulging this Christmas, please contact us at chidamoyo@btinternet.com. Even if you only make a small donation, it will go a long way especially if it is Gift-Aided. Any donation you make, will enable us to buy in bulk which is always the most cost effective.
